Alicia Smith and her son Garrett drop off their donation for the Food Pantry at Helping Hands to police at her neighborhood’s Texas Night Out celebration. The event was designed to send a strong message to criminals that police and residents are organized and fighting back against crime. Each year, Rockwall Police request that participants bring donations for the Food Pantry. “We thank them so much for making Helping Hands a part of this great event,” said Margo Nielsen, Executive Director of the agency. “This time of year our Food Pantry shelves are always low so we certainly appreciate their efforts.”
