Client Assistance

Client Assistance serves Rockwall County residents in financial crisis. Clients receive assistance with utilities, shelter, food, clothes, furniture, and household items. We also partner with other agencies to provide relief to clients in times of crisis. Bilingual services are available during business hours. Trained Client Assistance Specialists, along with trained volunteers, provide the support, energy, and care that are so vital to serving those in need.

How We Help

Information & Referral

Helping Hands is the primary information and referral provider for Rockwall County. We connect applicants to the appropriate resources and agencies that can provide more specific help. Many other state agencies and community-based organizations work in partnership with Helping Hands to provide relief to our clients.

Financial Assistance

Helping Hands provides financial assistance from utility bills and shelter to backpacks and school supplies. We also offer assistance with food from the pantry, clothes, household items, and furniture.

At times, Helping Hands provides other assistance such as educational classes for budgeting, finance, and nutrition.

Client Assistance Specialists consider each client’s situation and try to provide assistance that will best enable the client to meet their needs.

Emergency Assistance Application Process

We serve residents within the Rockwall County, City or School District tax boundaries of Rockwall, Rowlett, Fate, Heath, Wylie, McClendon-Chisolm, and Mobile City. We also serve all of the tri-county residents of Royse City, residing in the 75189 ZIP code area.

Any resident needing assistance is welcome to call, email, or come into the Client Assistance office at Helping Hands

Providing the required documents and participating in an interview, however, is not a guarantee that assistance will be provided.
