    Monetary Donations

Your year-end, tax-deductible donation can be a one-time event or a recurring monthly contribution. We also invite you to participate in a fundraising event such as the Annual Helping Hands Golf Tournament or Festival of Trees.

Donations provide food, shelter, medical care, and hope to your neighbors in Rockwall County. Uplift a Rockwall neighbor in need with any of these donation options:

Make a one-time or recurring donation online.

In most instances, cash donations are far superior to non-cash ones (especially when responding to disasters). Monetary donations give us the flexibility to buy what we need, rather than relying on items that may not be ideal. One solution is to hold a garage or yard sale to convert items to cash first, and then donate the money to the charity directly.

    Donate Items

We accept items for both our Food Pantry and our Thrift Store. In 2017, you kept your Rockwall neighbors fed by giving out over 210,910 pounds of food that you helped to donate. You also helped to raise over $1 million in funds by donating gently used clothing and home furnishings to the Helping Hands Thrift Store and Boutique that were then sold.

    Donate your time and Talent

Volunteer your time and talent to Rockwall. Our friendly volunteers serve throughout the agency, lending a helping hand to staff members in each department. Volunteers strengthen the organization and bring much-needed support to our programs, which include Assistance & Referral, the Health Center, and the Thrift Store Boutique.

Reach out to one of our staff members if you have questions. We’d love to share more about what we do!

    The 1976 Maverick Society

The story is told that volunteers gathered items for Christmas for needy children in the area. Then household good and clothing were collected after a neighbors home had burned. It was all initially ran out of the trunk of a 1976 Ford Maverick. And so began Rockwall County Helping Hands.
