Come get your daily dose of Iron on Friday, September 8th!
Join friends and neighbors on Friday, Sept. 8 to help support Rockwall County Helping Hands by participating in our Annual Golf Tournament at Buffalo Creek Golf Course. The event is chaired by board member Jeremy Neill.
Every year, Helping Hands raises awareness for Rockwall residents facing poverty, and the proceeds go to help the organization serve numerous families with emergency assistance, food needs and assistance, medical assistance, and financial crises. This tournament benefiting Rockwall County Helping Hands has consistently been a source of fun, camaraderie, and a fixture as a key fundraiser for the agency.
Helping Hands hosts a “Ryder Cup” style invitational and golfers get to strive for a Hole in One cash prize. Local businesses have a friendly competition against each other to fundraise the most by their teams to benefit the agency with a goal to raise at least $3,000 per team. Last year, Lake June Scrap Metals was the top fundraising team with their team raising over $6,000!
At the tournament along with the awards ceremony and BBQ lunch, several door prizes are given as well as the longest drive, closest to the squiggle line and closest to the pin prizes. It is a great opportunity to network and share in the mission of Rockwall County Helping Hands with our growing list of partners and community supporters. WILL YOU JOIN IN THIS YEAR?
Check-in and Breakfast begins at 7 am. Lunch will be provided for participating golfers after the tournament.
