Rockwall County Helping Hands food pantry is run in conjunction with the Assistance and Referral Program, offering relief to families who have fallen on hard times. Families needing emergency food assistance are provided with enough nutritious meals to last 14 days. We rely on your generosity to feed more families.
We are grateful to local stores that provide bakery goods and other items for the food pantry. They are treats to an otherwise predictable pantry fare.Apply for Emergency Assistance
Finding The Food
Occasionally Helping Hands has to purchase food for the pantry, but the vast majority of supplies come from individual donations and food drives conducted by schools, churches, U.S. Postal employees, and youth groups such as the Boy and Girl Scouts.
Last year, we distributed more than 200,000 pounds of food thanks to the kindness and generosity of our community. For this upcoming year, we’re hoping to give over 300,000 pounds. Can you help us meet our goal?
