Sep 26, 2025

Helping Hands of Rockwall County is honored to announce that we have received a grant from the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) in support of our mission to provide food, assistance, and hope to neighbors in need. This grant strengthens our ability to serve the Rockwall community and ensures families facing hunger have access to nutritious meals.

About the North Texas Food Bank

The North Texas Food Bank is a nonprofit hunger-relief organization that works with a vast network of partner agencies to combat food insecurity across 13 North Texas counties. By sourcing, collecting, and distributing donated food, NTFB provides access to more than 144 million meals annually. Their mission goes beyond food distribution—NTFB also advocates for hunger solutions, provides nutrition education, and partners with local organizations to create stronger, healthier communities.

A Strong Partnership with Helping Hands

Helping Hands of Rockwall County is proud to be one of NTFB’s partner agencies. Through this partnership, we are able to receive food and resources that directly support our Food Pantry, which serves thousands of individuals and families each year. The grant we’ve received will allow us to expand our capacity, improve food distribution efforts, and continue to meet the growing needs of our community.

Working together with the North Texas Food Bank means more than just putting food on shelves—it means ensuring that every child, parent, and senior in Rockwall County has access to healthy meals and the opportunity to thrive.

Building a Hunger-Free Future

Food insecurity continues to affect many families in North Texas, but partnerships like this one make a lasting impact. Helping Hands remains committed to serving as a trusted local resource, and with the support of the North Texas Food Bank, we can continue to fight hunger and bring hope to our neighbors.

We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to continuing the work of building a stronger, hunger-free Rockwall County.
