When our Rockwall County neighbors experience an unexpected crisis, where do they turn? If they’re like most in our community, they go to Rockwall County Helping Hands.
Why? Because they know Helping Hands serves residents by relieving financial crisis and by providing a medical home. And they know that clients will be treated with respect by dedicated and compassionate professionals in a caring environment.
Such was the case for Jessica. Jessica came to Helping Hands having experienced an unexpected job loss and a pending divorce. She had been evicted from her apartment and was staying with various friends while she looked for work. Helping Hands provided food and a listing of local businesses that were hiring. From that job list, Jessica was able to find employment and get her own place. Helping Hands provided utility assistance to jumpstart her on her way toward independence. Jessica loves her new job, and there is already talk of her being able to move into management in the near future.
Helping Hands is Rockwall’s primary health and social services agency. Because of your generosity:
hundreds of qualified families receive meat, fruit, vegetables and other groceries from our Food Pantry;
utilities don’t get shut off in times of crisis;
families can remain in their homes;
thousands receive basic healthcare at the Health Center of Helping Hands.
Please consider making a financial gift. Your one-time or monthly gift of $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or $5,000 can make all the difference… to our Food Pantry, to our Emergency Assistance program, to our Health Center – and to struggling families.
Helping Hands is committed to ensuring that no one in Rockwall County goes to bed hungry, without a roof overhead, or is deprived of needed medical care – for every person in the community.
Please take this opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child or family by mailing your donation to P.O. Box 375, Rockwall, Texas 75087 or by going online at https://rockwallhelpinghands.com to make your contribution electronically. In appreciation of donations of $250 or more, a commemorative brick or item will be placed in the Garden of Helping Hands.
Thank you so much for your help.
